Key to the double portion

The prophet said : if you see me, ascending before your eyes, if you see the heavenly chariot of fire thunder down from the realms of heaven to carry me back, you shall have the double portion of annoiting.

The chariot thundered down, and with a shout the man of God was taken, leaving Elisha behind saying, My father, my father, the horsemen and chariot of almighty God! To him it was given to see up close to the rest of the prophets it was from afar.

If you see heavenly reality - me dissapearing physically before your eyes, bodily ascending to heaven - much like the disciples saw Christ ascend into heaven as high priest.

if you see it, with your own eyes, with eyes wide open, to heavenly realitites - Christ at the right hand of God, your sin and sin nature dead in Him, Him alive in You, Him arising Vicotries over death and hell and disease, it will change your life, you will never live for the same things again, never hunger for lesser, you will be filled with faith - the apostles cried 'for we cannot but testify to the things we have seen and heard!'

THIS IS REAL

The whole witnessing of Christ's reality will be so integrated into your psyche, into your very person, something you will never be able to deny as long as you live, taste and see that the Lord is good - you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and filled with mighty power to testify of that reality.

the prophet saw the hills burning with heavenly hosts and was peacefully confident of victory. open our eyes to your reality.

David's tent

David's strip down simplicity and worship -

David took the ark of God away from the busyness of temple ministry - sacrifices and all that and striped down to the main thing-

You, me, the presence of God and His Glory, Faith in God, loving trust, The atoning blood, worship, waiting, praise and intimacy.

Seems that God was pleased with that. He will again raise the tabernacle (tent) of David

Acts 15:16 “‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it"

David's treasure

'Don't take Your Holy Spirit from me'

The one thing David valued was His presence. it was not dont take my kingship, nor wives nor strength, nor health, nor possessions.

The Holy Spirit was his friend, his helper, guide, comfort, the gentle grace of the Holy Spirit was his treasure, the thing that made Him great, the friendship of God's presence.

He knew the source of his strength, health, help - not in himself but in God.

Teach me to fear you, to treasure you more than anything else.

Dangers of the prophetic gift

1) speaking more than what God says - adding to the word of the lord

2) rebellion, doing less than what God states

Sniper rifle test

The proof of a prophet is the sniper rifle test - accurate words - and divine revelation and heavenly insight into situations and things, words of the nature of the Word of the Lord - powerful and strong from the Spirit of God, words that do not fall to the ground.

Your word will not return to you void but accomplish all that You intend for it.

I am watching over my word to perform it- words that come from God's mouth, and have God's mighty hand to back them up, breaking into reality.

A sniper rifle.

Brotherhood of the Prophets

Prophets invariably have powerful and heavenly experiences which forever change the course of their lives, which they then go on to change the course of History. - Paul, Moses, Elijah, Smith Wigglesworth, John G Lake, Kathryn Khulman etc.

The prophets are an ancient Godly and heaven immersed brotherhood all rejected on earth- hebrews 11:32-38

I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. 36Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.

'To obey is better than sacrifice'

Remember David obeyed from the heart, all the lord wanted to Do, to Saul it was said :” has the lord much delight in sacrifices? To Obey is better than Sacrifice." When he failed to do all that was commanded over and over, Saul and his kingship was in the end rejected before God.

Making excuses for the failure to fully obey the word of the lord to the prophet to kill all of Amalek, he resorted to vain excuses. Let us seek to obey fully all that He desires, not presumptuous- doing more than required or rebellious – refusing to do what He asks, but fully obedient, which is the way of the Lord.

1 Sam 15:22

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to listen than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
he has also rejected you from being king.”

Let us obey lest our sacrifices and prayers become abominations – the stench of rebellion before God…

Isaiah 1:13

13 Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.

Scetches of Elijah

Elijah - his names means 'He is My God', his life tells of a story of a man who trusted God the the face of great wickedness and evil in His generation.

Tish - bible dictionaries say that Tish means 'stranger', alternative hebrew renderings of his initial discription include the following: 'he was a stranger of the strangers in Tish'. Implying he was someone who did not fit into mainstream society.

God's prophets are mostly strangers in a strange land - more at home with heavenly realities than on earth, to which he was finally taken up to dwell bodily. God must have been so pleased with the man. 'Wholly pleasing Him and being fruitful in every good work'.

Being a prophet is a lonely business. No one will understand you but God because you have become so one with God's agenda, God's heart, and face the brunt of rejection of people on earth of God's ways.

John 1:11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.

Somehow prophets cannot fit, do not receive a welcome in their own cultures and households in which they grow up in-they see the evil in it and cannot bear to conform to its evils - the natural reaction of the majority of course is darwinian - if you cannot get with the program, you will be eliminated. Kill or be killed - the law of the jungle, a survival game, but the prophet refuses to march according to the drumbeat of the world, he hears the word and culture and music of another realm- heaven, and marches to that drumbeat, in direct opposition and contradiction to culture.

The prophet does not follow the values of a material society. Where most will value material comfort or possession, the prophet is likely to be consumed with a passion to accumulate heavenly treasure, even to the endangering of his/ her own life. -See John the Baptist, Paul the Apostle etc. A prophet will likely find pleasure in living in heavenly vision and friendship with God's living presence.

Mark 6:4 And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.”

If you father a prophet son, most likely you will think it a curse more than a blessing - no honour for your child from you the father- if the parent does not know God's ways. 'how can my child survive this world?' 'dont worry God will take care of Him it might be a hard path but a glorious one...'

Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account/ For my sake. (implying a strong friendship with God Himself) 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

1 Samuel 8:7
7And the LORD said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

Rejection is common. The prophet thus must find his refuge and welcome primarily in the presence of God to which the prophet seeks and finds as a refuge from the hurt of rejection, and give him the strength in the love and affection of the Father, the welcome of God, 'being highly favoured in Christ' experiencing the favour and love of God which is available in Christ. Then He goes back into a hostile world and bring God's word against a rejecting opposing public. Jesus frequently was found in prayer, drawing strength from His Father.

Matt 11:17
'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.'

The verse represents the earth's rejection of John the baptist & Jesus' ministries - an Elijah ministry - which was annoited to challenge and break the whole system, values and idolatries of the nation.

Tish - speculated to be upper Galilee (near to where the disciples are from) a place later known for an adaptive and changable people who were adaptable to new trade influences etc, rebellions and uprisings etc. A people of mobility. He was a mobile prophet, willing to go when God would say go, moving from place to place like Paul the missionary.

From which he moved into Gilead - bible dictionaries say was famous for a medicinal balm, an medicinal oil which had medicinal properties - representing the healing touch or annoiting of God. 'the balm of gilead'.

Given authority over all Israel (not Judah) to challenge wicked principalities and powers

Made strong in waiting upon His presence like the prophet Samuel, in his boyhood and Joshua and Moses and David, who all preferred the presence and atmosphere of God's holy presence than on earth. ' better is one day in your courts'. Waited in the desert and trusted in God.

Fed upon God Himself whom fed the man everyday, 'give us this day, daily bread, daily strength', a friend of God - he experienced his awesome loving kindness in the wilderness. Feeding upon God day and night gives us strength. -Meat the strong meat of the word - the spirit is 'living water' to the soul, these foods makes a man steely strong to do His work.

Saw the heavenly throne of God as more powerful and iminient and immediate than King Ahab's throne and army, thus was given the word of the lord, and authority flowing from God's throne to challenge the king, without fear. 1 Kings 17: 'God before whom I stand' to challenge the kingship which had become corrupt. Standing before God's presence gave him boldness.

He was given authority over the weather (drought) and elemental fire from heaven.
Fully obeyed with full courage - though sometimes trembling fear, empowered by visions of heaven - saw heavenly chariots before they arrived on scene - took heavenly realities as realities did not doubt but acted fully on God's word and obeyed his voice. This was the source of his mighty spiritual authority - full obedience to the word and heart of God.

5 Things I wish I would have known about being a church planter’s wife
Now that we have completed the first year of church planting and I can look back with perspective one of the hardest years of my life, I hurt for those who are going through the first year without this understanding. I wish I would have had someone to come alongside me and tell me these truths and challenge me to live them out. I pray that this would be of some benefit to a new or future church planter’s wife: unaware of the part she will play, oblivious to the enemy’s schemes, perhaps lonely and without a mentor or close friend.

Your ministry is primarily your husband (who happens to be a pastor).

Being the wife that he wants you to be to your children and in your home may not allow you to be the incredible minister’s wife that you envisioned. You may have imagined yourself running the women’s ministry and heading up a Titus 2 program, or maybe you simply imagine yourself getting to church on time with 3 kids in tow (did I mention dressed nicely and hair combed?)! Either way, defer to your husband’s expectations for you and follow his lead. Communicate with your husband about your gifts and passions and find out how they can be used to serve the church and at what capacity you will be able to serve without sacrificing your family or spreading yourself too thin. Our husbands may keep us from the burden of our own unrealistic expectations. A faithful wife and mom finds many open doors for ministry without having an official title or position.

You share in their calling, you are their helpers in ministry, and you have a unique position to walk with your husband in this calling. While this statement is absolutely true, no one else but you, your husband and other ministry couples know it. Some people will only see your husband and ignore you. You may even have people come over for a meal and talk to your husband the whole time. I have actually had this happen. It is very humbling to realize that only you and your husband (and a select few) know that it’s a shared calling and the part that you play. The enemy can even use this to make you feel like you aren’t as connected to your husband as you should be because of his line of work, saying “you must not be connected since he keeps so much from you”, “you really aren’t a part of this calling” and “he lives a separate life from you and the kids.” The enemy strategically attacks in this area with the goal of weakening the marriage and possibly creating identity issues in the minds of pastor’s wives. The call of God to plant a church is on your entire family and He alone will bring the task to completion. God will use your specific gifts, imperfections, encouragement, support, prayers and your commitment to the call to build your local church body. Although you may never be recognized from the pulpit for all that you do, we serve a God who sees and He sees all that you do and all that you sacrifice and He is honored by your selfless service to the body. Don’t allow the enemy to rob you of the joy it is to be your husband’s helper in the ministry and to see it as a unique position that is often undervalued by men but of incredible value to our husbands and to God.

You are qualified because God thinks so, not because you think so. Feelings of insecurity will arise because you will be tempted to compare yourself with other pastor’s wives or women in the church who you feel are more prominent than you. The enemy will then come in and latch onto these insecurities and turn them into lies. At times you will feel that you are not an adequate “pastor’s wife” because you are not as helpful to your husband (in the church aspect) than other women who serve the church. Stand on the truth of the Word in those moments. Your identity comes through being a daughter of Christ, recognizing that it is only by His grace that you are saved. Any good that you are able to do as a wife, mother and church member is to bring Him glory. Any other motives are just another reason to run to the cross and continue on in thankfulness for the grace you are afforded. God may very well use our weaknesses to display His glory all the brighter. Praise God that recognizing our weaknesses is not in vain! Your identity should not coincide with being the church secretary or hospitality team leader. If you can do those things at no expense to your spiritual growth, husband, home, and family, and not cling to them for importance, then prayerfully consider doing them, but if those things are your lifeline and make you feel adequate, those things need to be re-evaluated. Our role, whether in the church or in the home, does not define us; Christ defines us. In our new identity in Christ, we are covered in His blood and spotless, looked upon with delight by our Heavenly Father toward his daughter.

You should be a source, not a drain. You have the opportunity to offer comfort to your husband in a way that no one else can. They need us to be a source of comfort and respect, not a drain on their physical, emotional and spiritual capacity. I had no clue that as my husband was shepherding me and the rest of our church, I would be the one safe place he would come to receive comfort, encouragement and shepherding, essentially “pastoring” him through the ins and outs of everyday ministry, as one who knows him and will always be by his side. Many other people in his life will be telling him areas he needs to improve, ways he can shepherd better and some may be critical of him. Will you be an additional burden in your husband’s life that he has to bear, or can you be the one person who is a source and replenishment to his mind, soul and body?

You will have unique opportunities to minister to people in the church because of your husband’s position. You have a great advantage here. Many women will see you and simply because of who your husband is, come to you for advice, spiritual care and prayer. Use this to your advantage and allow the word of God to soak up in you so that you will have His words to say in time of need. It is a great blessing and joy to minister alongside my husband in this way, as well. Often we have people in need of spiritual care come over to talk with both of us. Especially in the case of women coming over, God has seen fit to use me to be his literal hands and feet by comforting cries with warm hugs, touches and prayers over hurting women in our body, ministering to them in ways that my husband is unable to. God has a purpose and a calling for wives’ to come alongside our husbands. Let’s make good use of the opportunities we will have.

There have been various points in the past year where I found myself clinging to the call from God for my husband and I to plant this church. The call was more distant, and fading into the background of our current trials. Surely this wasn’t still the call, was it? I am so thankful that God, in His mercy, found it pleasing to give us the strength to endure. I can look back with thankfulness in the ways that God grew us, utilizing our circumstances to dredge up sin that would have otherwise stayed hidden until prompted by something else. My shortcomings and weaknesses were there all along, it simply took church planting to bring them to the surface. I pray that as your weaknesses surface, you will cling to God and His calling upon you and your husband as you journey through your first year of church planting. And, the most wonderful news…

“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith – more precious than gold perishes though it is tested by fire – may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. “ 1 Peter 1:6-7

Understand that while going through the first year of church planting or other trials, your soul, your marriage, and your identity have the potential to come out of the trial all the better for it. Don’t let this trial be in vain, allow God to make it a year of sanctification and refinement which will result in more praise , glory and honor due to Jesus now and in the last days. No matter how smooth or rough our transition into planting a church is, there will be trials along the way. We can rest knowing we don’t have to worry, strive, prove, be in control, fear, look elsewhere, we can find hope and rest in God, the same God who called us to church planting and sees it through.

Thoughts on the prophet Samuel

Standing before your presence, if I know you are for me, I can stand before the people and rebuke a whole nation.

It matters not whom or how many you are facing if you stand before God's presence and know He is for you, and you are for Him.

Friends

those who love and fear your name will be my friends

Let your light shine!

Let your light shine before all men that they may see your good works and praise Your father in heaven. Shine out the light of Jesus and show the world how salty you are.

Basic Decency

Some people lack basic decency. All im asking for are for the Minimum standards of business practices to be upheld.

Have you ever heard of basic decency? well you have none!

The ark of the covenant

Samuel worshipped and lived in the presence of the Ark of the covenant -

A symbol God's living, manifest presence, a symbol of God's glory, where the Shekinah -the 'shining forth', the manifestation of a holy light would reside from in between the cherubim. A place from which His voice speaks and whispers to our hearts - to Samuel, to moses.

A symbol of His Holy Justice and mercy - As a symbol of Justice - God's Holiness demands the sin of man be judged. The rejection and breaking of God's law, leadership (staff) and the rejection of God's word (manna)is atoned for or judged.

As a symbol of Mercy -It also demands that man be saved by a perfect atoning sacrifice. By the blood of an unblemished lamb.

It was a symbol of Christ Himself, arcacia wood - humanity, overlaid with god- divinity, keeping the word of Christ, the leadership under God and the relied fully on God's word (manna) feeding on God.

It was a symbol of the Fear of God for those without reverence for His holy presence were struck dead, thinking themselves familiar with God, they intruded into that for which they had no right to be looking into thinking it to be a common box. Uzzah died when David moved from a precise obedience unto God's word.

David loved the ark, it was something to be drawing close to, he spent his days worshipping before the ark.

The victory of Christ -

Jesus has totally overcome the evil one, walls of darknesss are broken, He bursting forth in glorious day has totally triumphed.

LEt the glory of the risen Christ be shown in our lives, let the power of darkness be vanquished, let us be totally delivered and transferred into His Kingdom of Power and light and love and victory!

chains be broken, lives be healed, eyes be open, Christ is revealed!

Darkness might encroach for a bit but my joy - it dawns in the morning of His light!

Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for your rod and staff they comfort me!

You have prepared a table for me in the presence of my enemies, you annoit my head with oil, my cup runs over.

The unsearchable riches of Christ are my inheritence - You save us to the uttermost bounds of your power and salvation.

You strengthen us with Spiritual and natural power in our weaknesses.

My chains are gone, i've been set free, my God my savior has ransomed me, like a flood His mercy rains, unending love, amazing grace!

His grace has set me free from the power of sin and death. For He became sin on my behalf that i may become Your righteousness! We are clothed in Your true righteousness and holiness.

Old things - identities, fears and failures the past have been destroyed, all things are made new - we are children of God with authority. We are new overcomming creatures recreated in the power of your grace. Born again into His image. More than conquerors.

We have overcome satan, He who is within us, is greater than He who is in the world. We triumph over him in Christ! No weapon formed against us shall prosper, every tongue that rises up against us we condemn in the name of Jesus.

My weapons of warfare are mighty through God! I tear down fortresses of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus, and every high thing that exaults itself against the knowlege of Jesus. And I proclaim let the kingdom of God's glory in Christ burst forth now! Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will Your plan, Your desire come to pass o Christ, my Shepherd, my Husband, my King, my Savior.

I dwell under the wings of the presence of God! Who is for me, and i am for Him! who then can stand against us?

Strengthed with all power according to your glorious might.

Let your hand be heavy upon our enemies as it was in the days of the prophet Samuel, all the days of his life your hand was heavy upon the phillistines.

As i partake the sufferings for Christ, let me also partake of your resurrection glory and victory

2 Cor 2:11
11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Romans 8:11
You haven't received the spirit of slaves that leads you into fear again. Instead, you have received the spirit of God's adopted children by which we call out, "Abba! Father!"

Colossians 1:13

Do not fear the future trial of faith

Do not fear the future trial of faith
Name me any saint living or dead - not an unbeliever but God fearing believer, that has never come into a major test of faith of some kind.

Show me such a man and I will show you one who is a 'bastard, illegitimate and not His child'

Hebrews 12:8
If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons

Think about them - Daniel, Abraham, David, Joseph, Jacob, name one living or dead who never went through a serious trial of faith.

Imagine faithful Daniel in the Lion's Den, a mature believer, devoted, fearing God. Not in the beginning of their faith but at its strength at their prime of their faith, maturity, at the point of fullness.

Imagine the faith of Daniel, who had been delivered from so many deaths by God at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, who had bold faith to prophetically rebuke King Beltshazzar, who prayed with such intensity of faith and loving devotion - three times a day. Daniel who had an actual working faith experience of a mighty, loving, majestic, wise and sovereign God - at the prime of spiritual maturity in the lion's den. Imagine that.

It must have been so jarring. Knowing that God is sovereign and good and in control of all things, having firsthand experience of his mercies and goodness in his life, Yet, finding his own life being threatened for no other cause than his devotion to God. Faith is in the now. It was as though God was asking him: Daniel do you believe I am still that God who rescued your friend from the fire, who met you and favored you and clothed you with my kindness and wisdom. Do you still believe that I am the same God, Kind and loving towards you even now?

I like the line in the Pilgrim's progress: Christian replies to Apollyon: 'yes He (Christ) may not deliver us in our trial of faith, but it is to test us, even if martyrdom is the end result that we may have a better resurrection when we arrive on eternity's shore.' He stood fast in faith, did not hedge his bets, but wagered all on Christ who never fails and overcame in faith.

Daniel 11:22-35 - about the end times-
but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. 33 And the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. 34 When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery, 35 and some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, purified, and made white, until the time of the end, for it still awaits the appointed time.

Think about Job's trials - let us not fear the future trial that is to come, to test our faith. But Let us look to the One who is able to bring us through.

God Fully intends and has sufficient grace to bring us through trials of faith victoriously, if we will but trust Him, even if death is our glorious end.

Revelations 12:11
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Romans 8:37 ESV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Peace

feel such a deep peace about the present, about the future, I know its all in Your hands.

The Waiting

feeling like you've been passed over
waiting for someone to call your name

feeling like a detail in the scenery
that we drive by

waiting for destiny to come a-knocking
waiting for a star to land on your lap

waiting for there to be some meaning
in the endless drone of the everyday

I can feel the whispers of your spirit
I can feel the drawings of eternity

Some day the call's going to come ringing
Blasting like a trumpet in your ear

one day the message will come running,
down every street corner

One day there'll be a song that i'll be singing
One day there'll be a reward for all who persevere

One day my hope will come a-dawning
One day the sky will be alight with fire

So wait until a time of justice
where the judge will call your case

The verdict will come rolling
like a river from high judgement day

So wait until you're done waiting
cos the call can wait no more

So Wait until the time of completeness
where never wanting we'll reach eternity's shore

The Apostle Paul and His Ministry - Humility and Fatherliness, the seal of Apostleship

Paul's humility and commitment to Christ and the gospel far outstrips any other preacher. Over the ark of time and history, Paul's ministry stands as the true seal of apostleship, head and shoulders towering over other ministers and preachers.

Not only could he work the "mighty works" of an apostle in demonstration of divine power and in preaching, he was also unusually favoured by God to know and see and hear of un-utterable secrets in the third heaven. He also possessed a comprehensive understanding of the gospel.

Talking about his divine revelations of heaven, he refrained to speak even a word of them. He was so far removed from wanting the honor and glory of being 'the prophet,'the one' favored by God to minister in such fashion, 'the one' whom was shown and favored to know unique revlation. By far, he prefered the works and attitudes of true God-born love.

He so far removed himself from such exeperiences as to refer to these in the third person in the 12th chapter of 2nd Corinthians and choosing rather to glory in trials, weaknesses, oppostions, difficulties etc for the sake of the glory of Christ - Knowing that Christ's glory and strength was strongest and most glorified in times of his weakness, testing, trial, difficulty, oppositions and such. Imagine the man's faith, one that gloried in trials so that Christ and His power and glory might be the more exaulted. He refrained from boasting in the mountains of achievement, but chose to boast in suffering, that Christ's glory might not be dimmed by the man, standing for his own ministry -

Something that many lesser preachers have stooped to publicise their own special graces at the expense of Christ getting the glory. He remained committed to the fundemental preaching of the gospel, not veering into mighty prophetic experiences when he could have and might have thought he had a right to - but was sternly warned not to speak about such, knowing the weight of his revelation which was 'unlawful to utter'.

He refused to take a stipend from the church at corinth, when every reasonable ground was his to do so - he pioneered the work, suffered for the ministry, was poured out in love and service for the people, fathered them in love, gave birth to them in prayer and travail and in the preaching of the gospel. Yet he maintained the attitude not to be a financial burden to his spiritual children but to add to them, to bless them, to add spritual blessings, to strengthen and augment their faith, as 'parents out to lay up for children, not children for parents', seeking 'them. not theirs'. Their hearts and persons, not their possessions.

Value

Value: what do we value? can we truely appreciate the importance, the value of knowing, appreciating, communing with and being filled with the unsearchable riches of Christ?

That's the only way our hearts can be saved from worshipping the worthless. That we might know Him, obey Him and be changed into His likeness! That our hearts might be ever captivated by the value of His blood, His sacrifice, His excellent person, His infinite worth, power, Majesty, wisdom, grace, mercy and favor. to know Him to dwell in His presence and to express Him to the world

Cable cars

Saw cable cars going into a rock formation pulled along overhead lines above - somehow feel like faith - our overhead lines will guide us to a place of strength and saftey (rock fortress).

Temporary Setbacks in Faith

God fully expects us to meet obstacles to our faith, with increased trust in is promises.

66 a prophetic sign

Inexplicably, the number 66 has been showing up regarding our family a number of times:

- our hdb queue number was 66, after which we keep getting that queue number for doctors's visits etc, fairly regularly - is God trying to tell us something?

Research on the bible significance on 66 can be found here

http://vic.australis.com.au/hazz/number011.html

Symbolically, it means revelation - the number is first mentioned in the bible in Jacob's life the night that the angel appeared to Josepth and revealed his identity as Israel. Jacob had 11 sons at the time. The 11th son - Josepth, was a son whom was given the gift to dream and interprit dreams from God. the bible - revelation unto man - has 66 books -66 = 11-revelation x 6-man which was made on the 6th day. The word 'star' in hebrew and greek - God's revelation of who He is to the earth - is meantioned yes, 66times in the bible. spooky. God make us a revelation of who you are to the people around us, give us wisdom and the Holy Spirit to speak as you speak, to see as you see, feel as you feel and know as you know.

The Service of The Father.

The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, giving His life as a ransom for many.

The Son took the form of a servant, and desires to serve us, washing the diciples feet so that they may have a portion in HIm (John 13), He desires to cleanse us, washing us with His word and love. HIs service extends to even giving His own life for us to save us.

He who has seen the Son has seen the Father.

How much in greater measure, does the Father, who did not spare His Son, want to serve us, to give Himself to us. This is the amazing thought: He wants to give Himself! As He gave the Son so freely. He wants to meet our needs. He Himself!

The greatest gift any earthly father can give to his child is not his gifts per say, but himself, his embrace, he Himself as strength and encouragement, as power, as comfort. The Father wants to give Himself. Think about that.

As a little child do i come to you, Father, weak and poor, receiving all from You.

Work related prayer and desires:

Want a work environment that

1) is strong in regulatory compliance

2) appreciates and cultivate a global view on things

3) is mnc in nature - having sufficeint technological and administrative support to do analytical work

4) converses mainly in english so that i can relate and build relationships easily - double edged sword this one...

5) treasures my strengths in political analysis/economic/credit analysis

How to keep an unbroken spirit?

How to keep an unbroken spirit?

Mandela was in prison like Josepth for 20 years.

how were they able to maintain a lion like, fearless spirit, without giving in to the forces which were designed specifically to break a man or reduce him to become an animal.

Both came into prison as leaders and princes, and left prison as leaders and princes, only with more humility and wisdom.

Daniel 11:33-35 about those who are righteous but yet imprisoned at the end times,

33“Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder for many days.

34“Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy.

35“Some of those who have insight will fall, in order to refine, purge and make them pure until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.

Learning that God is sovereign and mightily rules the earth but yet here i am in prison, is a tough lesson to learn. He must have some special purpose to try me, to make me pure for his comming.

How can one hope and continue to hope, becomming even stronger and stronger in hope, unless He sees clearly His invisible object of His hope clearly in heaven waiting for him?

Establish us, that we may establish others.

Prosper me, that i may be able to build your church! Build my family upon the rock of Christ, that i may see to it your building project of the eternal church on earth be established.

Establish us, that we may see your kingdom established on the earth through us, use our hands to do eternal works for your kingdom. for Christ.

Overcome, overcome, overcome

By God's power, by His grace and By His strength, I must overcome every challenge of aimlessness, laziness and weariness.

by the grace of God i must pick up the skill of superb administration - the thing which i hate but have to excel in here.

Need to exercise my thinking function (tertiary function - ie. a weak psychological function for me) in practical things and develop it by sheer practice.

God's Generousity in the Manifold Blessing

Matthew 19:27-29

27 Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”

28 Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold/manifold and will inherit eternal life.

When we feel God is stingy and we have sacrificed much, we must remember the that the blessing of following Christ all the way is 1) a throne in the Kingdom 2) the manifold blessing of Christ 3) eternal life

Guard your priesthood

Numbers 18:7 And you and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and that is within the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood as a gift, and any outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”
(Numbers 18:7 ESV)

I have to break old behavioral patterns of dominion and playing the victim and the used and abused. I refuse to become a slave of man when I have been bought with the price of the blood of Christ to become His servant His slave, His ambassador and son. I am called on His mission, His building project, to preach the gospel to every creature, to manifest the wisdom of God to principalities and powers in heavenly places. No time to be a slave ‘stand fast in the freedom for which Christ has set you free no longer return to slavery.’ I am a free son of the Kingdom of heaven.

The making of an arrow

saw myself on an operating table, cut open, and weapons being deposited in me, a sword before hands sewing me up and me feeling stronger than ever before... I am to be the weapon, God has given me weapons of war. Praise, Faith, wisdom and strength for the battle.

Zechariah 9:

13 For I have bent Judah as my bow;
I have made Ephraim its arrow.
I will stir up your sons, O Zion,
against your sons, O Greece,
and wield you like a warrior's sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear over them,
and his arrow will go forth like lightning;
the Lord God will sound the trumpet
and will march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.

Learnt in Deigsn and Technology Class in School (in 1996) about woodworking.

An arrow is made from sawn down tree which has to be dried in a kiln oven to make it hard and sturdy, this process is painstakingly done to make sure that the wood is straight and not warped.

moisture in the wood will cause it to sag later on or warp - bend - an arrow will not fly straight if it is warped. the aerodynamics of an arrow requires it to be extremely straight and strong.

It is this drying process that can take days if not months for the wet freshly cut wood is placed into ovens to dry and harden through evaporation. The heat in the brick oven causes moisture release. An uncomfortable hot and confined process for the arrow.

when ready, the arrow should be straight, hard and tough. It should not splinter upon impact but be able to drive a hardened iron point at its tip into the body of an assailant.

God fashions his own weapons - Which are his sons and daughters - "I have made ephraim my arrow". Our bodies are weapons of righteousness, it is imperative the body be kept strong in order to release the spiritual weapon within.

Free will vs calvinism argument

When we stand before a judge for a crime you did commit, is there ever a time that you can say, it really wasn't me, was someone else who made me do it, when all evidence points indeed to you?

Are you or are you not responsible for your actions?

if it was the force of predestination of factors existing already which are beyound your control - your temprement, your environment and influences which they contained that caused you to do your crime, then God must be the one on trial because in effect you are saying that God is the one who caused you to do it, because He is the ultimate cause of all the conditions which you mentioned, and you are indeed innocent.

Rubbish. You are tried because you are responsible. because there is a power in you which you, not God controls to do or not to do. The usage and stewardship of that power is what God we are accountable to God for. We will all be tried before God and answer to Him on that great day what we did with our time, our choices, our minds, our families.

Yes people indeed blame God and blame others, but in doing so they believe the law to be unjust and the judge to be partial, which is a greater offence than any crime they have commited.

You are in fact saying 'I am a law to myself and there is no objective criteria of morality which i a moral being, capable of choosing my own behaviors and actions- is responsible to'.

Such a person is not human. He has lost the essence of being even human and exists on the the basest level,. The essence of being human is that we are moral beings, responsible to an absolute standard of morality and responsible to God for our actions, words and choices.

The spear

With a spear you can counter many enemies at once like stephen against the crowd. A symbol of the Holy Spirit, boldness and wisdom which the crowd could not contradict or resist during Stephen's address.

The spear was Joshua's weapon, which he did not withdraw until ai was destroyed. Boldness confience and faith in God until the enemy is rooted out of our lives.

Spear birthed the church, pierced Christ's side - the birthing weapon - the power to birth a church? Sacrificial love, wisdom faith and confidence that births Christ's Church.

High parry ability, range, accuracy - defensive and an offensive range weapon. get opponents far away before they come close to you.

Sword and buckler/shield training preceeeds spear training to increase the fighters' sensitivity and instincts to attack and defense.

Cornelius

At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort,

a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.

he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, "Cornelius."

And he stared at him in terror and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him,

Your prayers and your alm have ascended as a memorial before God.

Acts 10:3-4

The first sniper rifle

The stone went up and up and up and the giant came down, down, down, and the first sniper rifle was invented! Headshot!

Nuturing and nourishing

Saw myself carrying a baby who represents the fear and worship of God...

Staying awake to rouse the dead

We need to stay awake in prayer so that the world around us might awaken to the reality of a dawning God over their lives.

Waiting, praying, believing versus grabbing

Rob was relating his story about his little 3 year old son who grabbed a little handful of chips when dad wanted to give a big dad's handful for him. God wants to give us more than we are able but we are satisfied with the immediacy of instant gratification.

Lot grabbed sodom and gomorrah, seeing it to be well watered 'like the land of egypt' gimmering with fatness, rich with life, leaving Abraham with not much else. But to Abraham it was said 'lift up your eyes and look - i will give you the land of Canaan.' God has a greater inheritence for those who would seek and wait for Him and walk in His ways.

Real men believe, hold the faith and wait until God accomplishes for them.

Isaiah 62:

6On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves;
7And give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Notice 2 things in the above passage 1) God is the one who works who establishes Jerusalem, builds His church His temple He is the one that saves 2) we work, by prayer, by believing by trusting and by holding fast the Faith.

David was such a man, able to wait on God – Saul could not wait. When both were pressed with invading armies, one man grabbed – reacted could not keep his spirit in check and ruined God’s work in His character and in the nation. The other man waited till the angels were marching in the tops of the trees, fought for God and brought forth His victory.

It takes a man of faith to face impossible circumstances, dead circumstances, with unwavering faith hold on to God's promises and believe in Him so much that they begin to birth in His spirit. Abraham waited and believed 25 years for Isaac.

Romans 4:

19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb.

20 No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.

It takes men and women who pray, who believe and who wait to bring forth God's victory with His results. "Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might." - Ephesians 6:10

The pecking order

Thoughts after home group on friday evening -

1) we are so fixated with being first in the pecking order that - having more x so that we can feel good about ourselves such that we forget:

a) That God has called us to manifest who He is in this world - giving us the ultimate sense of identity, purpose and dignity that we are too shortsighted to see

b) God has called us to know more of Him Jer 9:24

"But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD"

Forever saving us from the curse of comparisons - we are not called to look behind at our accomplishments, to look beside at others but to plungeheadlong deeper into Him.

"that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD."

You hear the call but do you see His heart? If not, wait to see it before answering.

Many people hear the call to follow Him but few people see that He is an abundant, giving, powerful and rewarding God.

They hear the call to serve Him, see the cost, but do not perceive the reward.

It makes them resentful - because who would want to disobey God? Can we hope to escape His command? Is there a less authoritative master in the universe? So obey, they do it grudgingly, out of sheer duty, compelled to do so by a 'hard God'. Thinking they have paid a great cost, and in return what they obtain is something not so great - a life of gritting your teeth, costly sacrifice and duty. like the grumbling vineyard workers and the grumbling son in both parables. Religious duty kills.

But the last of all men, the weak and the poor see the awesome generosity of who He is, for giving them the same wages - how can they the weak and poor receive an inheritence so great? unblievable astounding grace! in awe they worship and serve, because they see the greatness, the abundance, the overflowing blessing of the blessor and His heart to lavish. This is true service and worship. To serve out of receiving an abundance.

Called to be a father

Impressions -

I've called you first - to be a Father, (to manifest who I Am).

Come to me, the empty couch in your life, (where your father used to sit) is not empty in heaven. I rule the universe. I can fill Your life. Come to me.

I remember I used to long for him to come home, longed for his teaching his presence... this is an empty vacant hole in my life. Father fill that emptiness in me. Take that place of a Father and Father me, be my authority, my great blessing, my great reward, the source of my identity.

Teach me about Your Fatherhood, for I am fatherless, teach me about being a good son so that I may learn to be a good Father. Remember that a Son receives all things from his Father, even a way of life. The way we grow up in the presence of a Fathering influence the way that we live now.

1Peter 1:18-19 knowing that you(A) were ransomed from(B) the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but(AT) with the precious blood of Christ, like that of(AU) a lamb-

Who will you receive this way of life from, if you are Fatherless? Only another counterfeit father, the father of lies, evil behavior from an evil father. The vacuum must be filled!

Sons and joint heirs of Christ means everthing Jesus inherited as a Son of the Father is ours to inherit by faith. The way Jesus grew up in the presence of His Father -God is ours to inherit, so that we may grow aright in the presence of His Fathering influence.

Our Father in heaven -means the Father of us all, the God of everything-He is my dad!

I want a Father, not a teacher, a guide, a book, or some instructions, but to know that I belong to someone.

Like a little child i shall run and keep on running to my Father.

Oil, blood, the bible and modern politics

Economics has become the single most important component for legitimacy and political stability for most developed world governments. Inflation is a prime factor that determines if people are happy with a government. One of the core components to inflation thanks to the advent of electricity, and the consumtion of consumer goods which is transported in a vast disbursed global economy is oil. If oil prices rise, food prices rise as food is distributed through this sea trade network. The oil industry also creates almost everything we see around us - plastics used in every form of electrical appliance. Consumer goods are mainly a chemical derivative of oil.

Modern nations are primarily economic entities before they are political or military entities. Everything about society is now built on economics. 'Its about the economy, stupid' - Bill Clinton. We have whole generations worshippipng the dollar sign, because we live in a primarily financial and economically driven world in developed countries. Part of it is out of necessity, part of the motiveation for materialism is fear. The other motivation is greed. We could get by on agriculture perhaps a hundred years ago but now, only few nations are agriculturally driven.

Thats why studiying the bible has basically made you irrelevant unless you can apply biblical principles in the context of the modern economy. Modern minded earthlings despise the word of God, largely because they don't see how it applies to thier largely economically driven lives. We must remember as believers that God operates above the system of man made economics, that God's wisdom in the proverbs enters into the realms of business, of daily interations, relationships etc. and is powerfully practical and relevant even today.

Modern earth dwellers also scoff at the basic notion of sin and responsiblity in the world, therefore creating the mess we know as modern politics and the economy. It is time for righteous, praying and wise christians to take back our portion of inheritence so that God may be glorified in our churches, in love ministries so that the name of Jesus might be lifted up.

Western nations and their dealings in the middle east traditionally favours despots and authoritiarian regimes, (ironically) and the motivation is really self preservation. Governments will do anything to promote oil price stability and oil supply security to western nations the objective is really the control of inflation.

Remember hyperinflation and the collaspe of a moderate germany in world war II. Radicals could just as easily rise to influence the minds of masses if poverty is the result of poor governance. International poltics is therefore driven largely by fear, not creativity. Where then is boldness and faith in our generation if everyone is afraid and motivated by fear? The question of Jesus was : will the Son of Man find faith (courage) when He returns?

Political instability in the Middle East creates oil price instability, due to the expectation of irregular supply with political disturbances, where demand is largely unchanged. This hits governments hard in the realm of popular support. It is therefore in the interest of western governments to create a stable middle east whatever the cost and that cost sometimes is ceeding out the physical land of Israel, sometimes is supporting despotic and authorian regimes, sometimes is war and the removal of radical elements which will undermine the security of western democracies and undermine costs.

Grim prospects

The prospect of being made sin was horrffic - for a holy being.

The weight and blackness of the sin of the whole world - crushing,

Your humanity weak and trembling, and breaking in the light of the weight of the task at hand. Fears threatening to sway Your path.

God's grace was sufficient help for You in Your trembling prayers.

Then You stepped up, conquered Your fears, trusted God to raise You up and gave Yourself to the death and conquered the cross for me.

Surely You will help me in my fears to do gloriously as You did.

Hebrews 5:7-8 (New King James Version)

7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

How much greater is the Father?

He who has seen the Son has seen the Father, but how much greater is the Father than the Son?

if the son gave His life to save us, how much greater is the Father's love to give of Himself for us?

If Christ is a good and benevolent savior, how much better, kinder, stronger, more powerful, regal and Holy and wise is this Father?

Receive freely of the Father

God's Lavish Love & the necessity of a scripturally based and strongly built faith

If the Father did not spare His own beloved Son, but generously, freely, lavishly delivered Him up to the ultimate death and torment on our behalf, how much lesser are other things in comparison?

Will The Father who did not spare the measureless gift of Christ for our primary need for Eternal Spiritual life and redemption, not give a lesser temporary thing that we need in this life?

How Great the Father's generousity and love for us in giving Christ.

Open your heart and freely receive of the Father's great gerousity and love.

Romans 8:32 paraphrased

If surely all things will be given and provided, why then do we not receive the thing which we have asked of God?

One reason may be because we have failed to believe what the first things that that are said about Christ and God in scriputure, these are the things that the Father says about Himself.

If you can believe in Christ's sacrifice and gift for you on the cross, this prepares your faith to receive and trust in the character of Christ Himself.

If you trust in the character and solidness of Christ, this prepares you to trust in the even more solid character of God who gave Christ, which is even greater in love than Christ.

Faith in the word which teaches us about the Father's great gift in Christ - is primary. The essentials build upon themselves in scripture, one level of faith leads to the next higher level. First - christ's sacrifice and its glory, second - the character of Christ, third, the Father and His glory. if you do not understand yet His atoning love, then go back to the cross. you need to believe it that, but dont end there, go on to the next level of Faith. Trust Christ! then trust the Father!

Read again all the scriptures about the Father and His Gift in Christ and the character of Christ and the Character of the Father and let the Holy spirit then rebuild faith in this wonderful God within you.

Faith in the Character of the Father in giving the Son, unlocks our heart to receive the answer for lesser things in trust. If you can receive a great God into your heart, who loves you and if you can trust in His love, this would expand your heart. Trusting and receiving such a good God will prepare your character and temper it in faith, and prepare you to receive any blessing better than anything else in the world. Faith is the great preparation.

The character of faith and trust in a good God is the primary necessity.

Patient waiting, intimate communing with God, solid trust and ready obedience then speeds the answer and the causes the arrangement of God's will to break into our lives.

What Lavish Love

Jesus declared 'With fervent desire I have desired to eat this meal with you' (KJV) Luke 22:15 knowing full well what the bread and wine would cost Him. 'With fervent desire'. What Lavish Love!

Notes prayers and thoughts about marriage from a wedding sermon

Love washes the bride fill me with much love to wash her abundantly, not just with words, with love, passionate love.

Make me a good shadow of the bridegroom and our marriage a good shadow of Your union.

A faithful diligent rescuing love, Jesus the picture of courage wisdom and manhood and godly husbanding.

I am yours you are my husband I am loved and accepted by you

Eternal neverending committed and mighty sacrificial love.

Dignity and enablement with god and wifely respect

Honor respect and love for a husband, love, sacrifice and commitment for a wife, a reflection of Christ's own commitment. Receive from Christ's own commitment and love for yourself to commit to your wife.

Any action that comes from experiencing God stands, and multiplies outward in the life - receive his love and grace in generous fashion for yourself, that you may give it out abundantly.

This is primary - I want your mighty love to fill my life!

Marriage a display of his glory.

To my precious wife

Proverbs 31 reflections:

v12 You have done me good, not harm all the time we have been together.

v29 Many daughters have done excellently but you excel them all, you are the best - because you are mine. because you do good not to others but to me, i dont know how the others are to their husbands but you are so so good to me -and i am thankful

Proverbs the way of Kings

Proverbs 30:22 A slave cannot rule, neither can a fool, a son must rule: I will teach you my kingly ways.

Proverbs 30:24-25
Weak creatures and how they maximize their strengths while being weak:

Ants- faithfulness, discipline and consistency builds up a strong reserve

Beavers - find places of great strength to build their lives upon- what is stronger than the stronghold of God Himself? 'Father thou art my strength'

Locusts - a life of disciplined strength accumulates discipline to fight without supervision or advice from a leader you can rule without someone more experienced over you. No leader but they charge in ranks, they know their place and their part as seasoned disciplined warriors.

Lizards - they do good - eliminate evil insects and are welcome in King's places - do good, walk righteously - use your gifts to benefit the community. lizards are good hiders and runners - high survival rates - be wise, hide and run. do all the good you can.

John Wesley - 'do all the good you can, to everyone you can, for as long as you can'

Impressions

Had the impression of wearing a jersey that said 'dad's' or 'Father's' on the back.

The holy spirit is my mother - born of the Spirit,

You are My Father.

Jesus Christ My brother.

Identity

A man of peace

Not an afterthought

To bring make peace fight for peace

The lord fights alongside you

Rory Dyer Visit words from the Spirit

Rory Dyer:

The dam of God's love breaking into you for your wife, words of love, words of affirmation, new love that has not yet been experienced for one another will be released. An extraordinary marriage, dont settle for less than God's best. God's going to give you words of love and affirmations for one another more and more, God wants you to be a river of His blessing, of which your wife will be chief receipient.

Dont go back into insecurity, continue to stand secure - stand at the top of the mountain as a Son, dont go back into illegimacy and illegitmate things.

God loves you the way you are now. He accepts you as you are.

Pastor Newman:

Love not with our own love but God's own love

You are as what you think - sometimes we feel our worth to be attached to what people say about us, how people see us and not how God sees us.

'Who am i to Christ?'

Dylan Jahnig:

There is strength in you, you are a good man I would gladly back you up. You probably dont back yourself enough. God will strengthen you against opposition.

Boundaries

Fail to see why i should subject myself to the abuse and criticism of someone whom i want to help but does not appreciate the effort and sacrifice on my part. why should i help someone who does not want to be helped? it cannot be done.

even God does not help those who do not want to be helped.

Enduring in the waiting

I am setting my hope fully on the grace that will be brought to me at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13

Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Psalms 35:27
Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication;
And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified,
Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.”

weariness

One of the most de-motivating things in the Christian walk is to think God has fogotten you, your just cause has passed from before his face, he is busy with other things. and that there is no reward for staying the sometimes painful course.

London

Wow my report is in someone's email right now in London!

'That which is born of Spirit is Spirit

'That which is born of flesh is flesh, that which is born of Spirit is Spirit'. Jesus was speaking about biological birth versus a spiritual birth or rebirth. That which is born of human being is a biological human being, that which is born of the Holy Spirit is a Spiritual being.

In December 1989, I was born in the womb of the holy spirit, the womb of the morning.

The Holy Spirit brithed me, a new creation. God planted the seed of His word, the seed of His gospel, His mighty seed in me, creating me afresh again in His image a new beginning, a new creation.

Old things have passed away, the old unloved, weak and trembling me died. All things are new in Christ, Strong, supplied by the Spirit and the Word, in prayer, in the study of the word, in the praises of my God -this being grows.

On thee do I depend all the day.

tough talk

you are extremely rude and your attitude stinks. take you stink somewhere else. get out of my face.

Love is giving

'Love is a giving sharing emotion that thinks of the other person first. Selfishness is Sin and must be confessed and broken by God's own love and power.'-Tim Lahaye on Marriage

When my wife looked hid on a pillow on the bed last night and I kissed her cheek, she looked at me and said 'i knew you were going to kiss me,' smiling and smiling.

Just at that moment I knew that i loved her and there's no one else i'd rather give my life to.
